Test Vitamin D - don´t guess, test!
Are you sure where your Vitamin D blood level is at the moment? Do you need to take a vitamin D supplement? How much do you need? The easiest and best way to answer these questions is to measure your personal vitamin D blood level twice a year. Then, adjust your daily vitamin D supplementation accordingly. Too much vitamin D is not good for you. Too little neither. So your best choice is to test, not to guess!
WHAT IS TESTED?
Our Vitamin D test measures the level of total Vitamin D in your blood and is equivalent to 25-hydroxyvitamin D2 and D3 in plasma. It reflects your Vitamin D status over the past 1-2 months. As a part of a healthy lifestyle, a Vitamin D blood level in the 30-50 ng/mL range may help support metabolic, heart, brain and immune health
WHAT IS A GOOD VITAMIN D BLOOD LEVEL?
- Most health professionals recommend a vitamin D level between 30 ng/ml (or 50 mol/l) and 50 ng/ml (125 nmol/l).
- Dropping below 12 ng/mol or 20 mol/l is too low and this may start to affect your bone health and immune system reply.
- Vitamin D blood levels above 50 ng/l (125 nmol/l) are considered too high and may cause serious health problems.
