OMEGA-3´S MAY HELP REDUCE THE INTENSITY OF AN INFLAMMATORY RESPONSE

*OMEGA-3´S MAY HELP REDUCE THE INTENSITY OF AN INFLAMMATORY RESPONSE (“CYTOKINE STORM”)

The anti-inflammatory Omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA help our body to (1) control the intensity of inflammation, (2) to stop the inflammation, and to (3) repair damaged cell tissue after an inflammation.

An excess of Omega-6 fatty acids, especially arachidonic acid (AA), results in the production of pro-inflammatory compounds in our cell walls and are the principles behind the inflammation process in our bodies.

Our natural regulatory mechanism, which controls an inflammation process, can only work and protect us if our diet is balanced between Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids. The fatty acid composition of our diet is reflected in our body cells.

Unfortunately, our modern diet contains 20 to 40 times more pro-inflammatory Omega-6 than anti-inflammatory Omega-3 fatty acids. To achieve a balanced diet with these essential fatty acids, we must reduce food rich in Omega-6 such as red meat, eggs, and milk products and increase your omega-3 intake by eating more fatty fish like sardine, anchovies, salmon, and tuna.

Additionally, choosing a high-quality omega-3 fish oil supplement (preferably with vitamin D3) will bring you closer to this desired balance and will help reduce the intensity of an excessive inflammatory response.

High-quality omega-3 supplements increase your EPA and DHA concentration in your cell walls. These are highly effective against many chronic inflammatory disorders such as; arthritis, dermatitis, irritable bowel disease, atherosclerosis, dermatitis (psoriasis), dementia and may reduce the intensity of the symptoms of a Covid-19 infection.
